Will defently stay again and recommend them to friends and family Positive: Its so peaceful and quiet Negative: Chickens comin in the cabin lol

Unfriendly, unprofessional, and ugly, avoid it! Positive: The dirt road is well maintained with plenty of gravel for grip and stability. It was reasonably inexpensive and reasonably close to Hobart. Negative: The advertised "ocean views" were non existent, the only "view" was of wrecked cars piled in a heap and the wall of a big shed. The kitchen chairs were stained and filthy, and the lounge was suspect so I put a towel on it before I sat down. There was a roughly painted sign pointing towards a very steep side road, but the cabin itself had no signage on it whatsoever and I nearly drove right past it down the steep dirt road. I did not receive the welcome email with the instructions on how to get into the cabin until mid afternoon the next day, hours after I checked out, so I had no idea how to access the key, so I rang them up and introduced myself, no friendly hello and welcome, the woman who answered the phone simply rattled off three numbers in a semi annoyed tone then hung up.

Best suited for a week stay to be able to utilise the more homely amenities most hotels don't have. Positive: I liked it had everything a small home has to make life easy... It was lovely to be able to take our dog .. it was very central to hobart and Richmond Negative: Was dirty (to be fair the cleaner said was in a bad state of unclean due to previous tenants) we were unable to check in at 2pm we had to come back at 3pm because of the clean up necessary . It needs a massive 2 day clean and badly stained things replaced .eg the fridge smelled so bad but I could see blood on a plastic shelf .. there were people everywhere that didn't appear to be holiday makers or owners they were revving in cars ..shooting guns and I think must have been throwing aerosol cans into fires by the sounds ..there were young guys in cars and walking everywhere .

AVOID AT ALL COST! Positive: Nil Negative: Well, I don't know why we didn't read the reviews for this horrible place on booking.com before booking. We flew in late so had to travel there in the dark. On entering the property we thought we had stumbled into a wrong turn movie. They say to expect farm equipment. No, it's simply a dump! There were no previous instructions on how to find the platypus cabin. And not surprisingly there were no signs. We drove up to the top, not there. Clarissa messaged us just after 10pm while we were still looking for it and asked for us to turn the heater off. Now we replied instantly telling her we couldn't find it but no answer. We passed one titled horse haven and ended up down a very steep dirt road & still no cabin. We were then out on a residential road. There was no way we were going back there & ended up finding a place to stay in Hobart. At 11am the next day they would have known that we clearly did not stay there and still no message. No attempt at damage control. Word of advise, be sure to check reviews before booking here, It's certainly an eye opener.
